Using Reiki On Animals

Reiki works wonders on most animals, and you may use hand positions similar to those used on humans to get the best results. However, this depends on the animal's size (and temperament). In this article, we will talk about using Reiki on animals. Depending on the situation, there are a variety of options available.

Treating Animals

• Directly touching the animal with the hands.
• Sending Reiki to the animal through the aura.
• Putting one's hands on the cage or tank where the animal is kept.
• Having in your hands a little animal.

Dealing With Pets

Most people want to use Reiki on their pets. While some animals can willingly sit or stand for a long period to get Reiki and return for more, others will immediately move away. Even pets that normally sit happily for strokes may move away if you try to give them Reiki. I've seen overzealous Reiki students scratching or even biting their pets when the animals didn't want any!

Your hand positions will rely on your reach, the animal's tolerance, and safety. Even if you can just place your hands in one spot, Reiki will flow over your entire body. Depending on size, try one or two hands on the head and two or three on either side. Although cats are an exception, several animals tend to resist receiving Reiki right on their spine.

If an injury is present, therapy should be focused on that area but avoid touching any region that may cause pain to the animal. Reiki may readily infiltrate the auric field and filter into the physical body from there, therefore hold your hands 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 in) above the injury location. The length of treatment time depends on the animal's size and the degree of any illness or injury.

Reiki can also be used to boost the nutritional value of food and water and neutralize the effects of pesticides and preservatives. It's easy. With one hand under and one above the food or water bowl, direct Reiki into the water. You can also do this with a carton, packet, or tin of food, intending Reiki to flow into it for a minute or two. Any homeopathic or veterinary medicine can be administered in Reiki in the same way.

Birds, Reptiles, Fish, Insects And Small Mammals

If you have a pet bird, reptile, or tiny mammal, you may be able to hold them between your hands and allow Reiki to flow through them. Treating them in their habitats, such as a cage, tank, or hut, is safer if they are likely to attack you.

As soon as you feel the need to remove your hands from the receptacle, place your hands there and allow the Reiki to flow. The majority of small animals will only require a few minutes of treatment. If your pet requires more than one Reiki treatment, you are free to provide as much Reiki as you like.

Farm Animals And Horses

Aura treatment from the edge of the field or next to the pen or other enclosure is frequently the easiest way to treat farm animals such as calves, sheep, pork, chickens, and geese.

How Do You Give A Horse Reiki?

With a horse, you can place your hands in one or two places on the head/neck and three or four areas on each side of the body because they are more accustomed to human touch than dogs.

Wild Animals

Wild birds and other small wild creatures should be placed in a cardboard box with airholes before being treated, as human touch can be extremely terrifying and even cause some to die from the shock. As a last resort, it is entirely appropriate to stand a safe distance away and transmit Reiki through your own aura into the animal's auric field if you need to provide Reiki to an animal that might be dangerous (for example, in a zoo).

This can be challenging because we tend to seek a specific outcome at the end of the day. You must, however, put your faith in Reiki to bring you what you want to happen, even if it is not necessarily what you want because this is what your Higher Self will order it to do on your behalf.
