The Fourth Reiki Symbol - The Master Symbol
This is the fourth Usui Reiki symbol and is characterized as "a Zen expression for one's real essence or Buddha-nature which one becomes aware of during the experience of enlightenment or satori." It is made up of 22 strokes in the Japanese kanji script. 'Treasure home of the vast beaming light,' for example, is one translation of its four-syllable phrase.
To employ this symbol is to connect directly and immediately with the Light, the Source, the Master within—the essence of "enlightenment," as these definitions show how profound this sign is. When we use the Master Symbol, we connect with our Higher Selves—that part of our being that has attained perfect enlightenment and is filled with all wisdom and understanding. In order to assist with self-awareness, personal growth, spiritual development and intuition, and deep comprehension of "being," the Master Symbol brings in even higher and purer dimensions of light and healing—Reiki—to assist with the crown chakra.
In each scenario, the Master Symbol may provide Light. A crucial component of master development is surrounding oneself with higher and finer vibrations, which is why this symbol is used so frequently by masters to aid in spiritual self-cleansing and self-purification to create an overall better quality of life. To meditate on this symbol is to allow Light to enter even the deepest and most buried blocks, whether those blocks are physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. This symbol can bring immense advantages to people who meditate on it. Using other Reiki symbols will be even more effective and will act from only the purest and most excellent motives possible.
Once you are attuned to the Master Symbol, you can use it in a variety of ways. For example, it can be drawn with the full hand or just the fingers or even envisioned. It's multidimensional energy that can operate in time, space, and light, in addition to having dimensions of height, width, and depth. The most common colors are white, gold, purple, violet, turquoise, pink, or a rainbow of colors.
When you are alone, you can draw the symbol and sing its mantra to cleanse and fill your body and the space where you are with light, love, and peace before and after any activity. You can "walk into" it and envision it filling your entire self. All degrees of Reiki attunement and the holy rite of initiation is assisted by the sacred environment created by the Reiki Master.
