Quick Reiki Treatment Techniques And How To Do It

Chakra Clearing And BalancingThe Reiki Sandwich

Because it is not always possible to do a full treatment, here are quick reiki treatment techniques for performing a brief chakra-balancing therapy or energy boost that might be beneficial.

Chakra Clearing And Balancing

The client can be lying down or upright in a chair. Reiki can clear blockages from the chakras and balance the energy by working in the aura around them. For best results, have the client close their eyes and focus on breathing deeply and evenly for a few moments.

  • When you're ready, step back from the client and draw a Power Symbol over each of your palms and a big Power Symbol down the front of your body, repeating the sacred mantra three times each time. This Reiki-enables your entire energy field so that when you approach the client again, both of you will be engulfed in a Reiki field.
  • With your right (or dominant) hand, create a Power Symbol in the air around 15-30 cm (6-12 in) away from their crown chakra (or in front if they are seated). Say the mantra three times out loud to yourself and hold your hand there for about a minute.
  • Then, around 15-30 cm (6-12 in) away from the head, move your palm above (or in front of) the brow (Third Eye) chakra. Draw the Power Symbol over (or in front of) their brow chakra in the air, silently chant the mantra three times and hold your hand there for one minute.
  • Do the same thing for the remaining chakras—throat, heart, solar plexus, sacrum, and root—holding your palm steady above (or in front of) each one for about a minute.
  • When you're done, move your hand away from their body a little, create a huge Power Symbol in the air over (or in front of) their entire body, and silently chant the mantra three times, meaning to seal in the Reiki.
  • Then take your hands away from the recipient and place them in the Gassho (praying) position at midchest height, mentally thanking the Reiki and bowing slightly as a sign of respect.
  • To break the connection, click your fingers or shake your hands vigorously.
  • Use Dry Brushing or the Reiki Shower to wash afterward.

The Reiki Sandwich

With little time, the following strategy may be helpful. It causes a quick and powerful auric field vibration change. The client is "sandwiched" between your hands, not directly on them. For each pose, one or two minutes is usually sufficient due to the demanding nature of the postures. Preparation for this quick therapy is standard procedure.

  • Have clients stand with their feet apart (hip width) or sit up straight in a chair, feet flat on the floor, eyes closed.
  • Draw a Power Symbol on each of your palms and repeat the sacred chant three times silently to yourself. Draw a big Power Symbol in front of their body, then another in the rear, silently repeating the sacred phrase three times each time.
  • Position yourself so that a client is standing sideways in front of you.
  • Just above the head chakra, place your hands, palms facing each other, 20 cm (8 in) apart. Hold this position, as well as the ones after it, for roughly a minute (or more, if you feel this is necessary and you and the client are still reasonably comfortable).
  • Keeping your palms facing each other, slide your hands down to the Third Eye chakra, one hand 15-20 cm (6-8 in) from the front of the client's head and the other the same distance away from the rear, both palms facing the client.
  • After a minute, bring your hands down to the throat chakra. One is facing the front of the throat and the other facing the back of the neck, at the same distance.
  • Next, slide your hands down to the heart chakra, one facing the center of the chest and the other towards the center of the back, the same distance apart as before.
  • Repeat above the waist with the solar plexus chakra.
  • Do the same with the sacral chakra, which is located immediately below the navel.
  • Move on to the root chakra, which is located at the base of the spine.
  • Next, turn your palms downward and, while keeping them approximately the same distance from your body as previously, push your hands down until they almost touch the floor, allowing the energy to flow down toward your feet to ground it. (If you are unable to bend comfortably, simply turn your hands downward for a few seconds, intending for the energy to flow down toward your feet.)
  • Then, with your palms facing upward, pull your hands a little further out from the body, say 25-30 cm (10-12 in), and steadily push the energy up the entire body to the crown.
  • Bring your hands together briefly above the crown chakra until your fingertips contact, then pull them apart again, allowing the palms to face downward. Sweep the aura downward quickly as your hands glide down from the head to the feet, keeping your hands at least 30 cm (12 in) apart from the body.
  • Then, moving away from the recipient, place your hands in the Gassho (praying) posture at midchest height and mentally thank the Reiki, bending slightly as a sign of respect.
  • Finally, break the energy connection by snapping your fingers, clapping your hands, or shaking them quickly.

Doing these will help you perform a quick reiki treatment for someone in need of prompt treatment. But, as I always say, you are not responsible for the treatment outcome; it is up to your clients if they want to accept the reiki treatment you give them.

Chanting And Toning With Karuna Reiki

The Karuna Reiki experience taught me that toning or chanting during a Karuna Reiki session causes profound shifts in the healing energy's vibrational frequency. Guided Meditation To Help Heal The Shadow Self Can Change Your Life

The shadow self refers to the aspects of ourselves that have been repressed into the unconscious — the aspects of ourselves that we are insecure about, ashamed of, or frustrated with. The shadow self-concept is based on the idea that we metaphorically bury those aspects of our personalities that we fear will not be accepted, accepted, or loved by others; thus, we keep them in the shadows.

Integrative And Functional Medicine —Personalized Care For The 21st Century

The goal of integrative and functional medicine is to get to the root cause of health problems and treat the whole person with a combination of approaches—optimizing health for those who have it and restoring health for those who have lost it. Integrative medicine and functional medicine are often used interchangeably, but the terms are actually referring to two different approaches to patient care.
