This session will show you how to attune Reiki students. Western/Takata System of Attunements In addition to the Usui/ Tibetan Variation, which I employ and find most effective. To prepare for the attunement, have your pupil sit on a chair, eyes closed, hands in a prayer position (Gassho).
You will be around 2-3 feet away from your learner.
Ask your kid to close their eyes and pray with their hands in front of their heart chakra (Gassho).
Specify a short intention (example: "I invite Reiki, the global life force, all past, present and future Reiki teachers, especially Dr. Usui, Dr. Hayashi, and Madam Takata to this attunement ceremony for: (insert students name). I pray that the force and wisdom of Reiki lead and support me in passing on the gift of Reiki through this Usui Reiki Level attunement (I, II, or Master depending on the attunements). As a Reiki practitioner, I pray that this ceremony uplifts and motivates (insert students' names).
Open your eyes when you are ready and experience the Reiki energy. Dot your hands with DKM and CKR. Draw and intone the CKR in front of your body to open your chakras to Reiki.
Draw (1x) and intone (3x) the DKM, CKR, SHK, and HSZSN above the student. During the ritual, these symbols will be invoked.
Ask your student to take a long relaxed breath while silently invoking Reiki (example: I (student name) call upon Reiki, the universal life energy). I am open to receiving Reiki attunement.
Allow your pupil time to finish the quiet invocation. Continue when you feel they are ready.
Relax, follow guidelines, and enjoy the Reiki attunement ritual.
Now go counterclockwise to your student's back.
Raise your hands in prayer before your heart chakra.
Closer to your pupil, put your non-dominant hand on his shoulder.
If you want to incorporate Hui Yin and Violet Breath, do so. Place your tongue under your upper front teeth and clench Hui Yin to increase Reiki flow throughout your body. (PLEASE NOTE: This approach is optional and will not affect the attunements' success. This is how your Master's was taught throughout training. For this reason, many Reiki masters don't utilize it. Try it and if you like it, keep using it. If not, leave it out of your attunement ritual. Recall that intent is crucial.
Observing the Reiki student
Ascend your dominant hand horizontally over your Reiki student's head chakra.
Draw a little CKR over the student's crown chakra to open it.
Infuse the student's entire head with Reiki energy by placing your cupped hands over their crown chakra. Remember to discreetly intone each symbol's name three times.
Standing to the Reiki student's right.
Open the third eye chakra by drawing a little CKR over it.
Bring the three previously drawn Reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into the student's third eye chakra with your right hand in front of their third eye chakra and your left hand behind their head.
Don't forget to intone the symbol names three times discreetly.
Right beside the Reiki student.
Draw a little CKR above the student's throat chakra to open it.
With your right hand in front of the student's throat chakra and your left hand behind the student's neck, beam the three previously created Reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into the student's throat chakra. Remember to discreetly intone each symbol's name three times.
Move in front of the Reiki student.
Draw a little CKR over the student's Heart Chakra to open it.
Beam the three previously drawn Reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into your student's heart chakra, filling their heart center with Reiki energy. Remember to discreetly intone each symbol's name three times.
Greeting the Reiki student
Step back slightly and draw a little CKR across the student's solar plexus, sacrum, and root chakras to open the last three energy centers.
Beam the three previously drawn Reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into your student's solar plexus, sacral, and root chakras, filling their three energy centers with Reiki energy. Remember to discreetly intone each symbol's name three times.
Send Reiki symbols DKM, HSZSN, and CKR into the students' arms, chest, belly, thighs, and legs. Imagine Reiki energy flooding their muscles, organs, tissues, and cells. Remember to discreetly intone each symbol's name three times.
Draw the symbols into the palms of the students' hands and tap three times.
Level I: Draw CKR in both palms and tap three times
Level II: Draw CKR, SHK, and HSZSN in both palms and tap three times
Level III: Draw CKR, SHK, HSZSN, and DKM and tap three times. To return to the stance of prayer, have the student fold their hands once more.
Standing in front of the Reiki student
Move the student's fingers so that their heart chakra is in line with their fingertips, and then place your hands around theirs.
Using your roots as your starting point, inhale deeply and exhale slowly as you move upwards through your head chakra.
Hands on the student's lap To ground your Reiki student's energy, draw a huge CKR over their front bodies.
Your hands should be a few inches above their crown chakra in their aura. Work your way down their aura, starting with the crown chakra. Touch the ground with both hands to complete grounding and dissolve the Reiki student's connection. Finally, quietly thank Reiki.
The attunement ceremony for "insert student name." So that "insert student's name" might become a powerful and confident Reiki Practitioner, I pray that the power and wisdom of Reiki nourish and guide him/her from this day forward.
If you need more time, tell the student: "You can return to full consciousness whenever you are ready." During the attunement, you might ask the learner about his/her feelings, visions, and/or experiences. To affirm that "the attunement worked," the student can talk about what happened.
Before beginning the attunement procedure, ensure sure the student's feet are flat on the floor. Their hands will be in Gassho (praying stance) before their hearts. Close their eyes and take a deep breath. As you finish the ceremony, inform them that their seat will be moved. Pretend to blow/tap symbols into the palms of the student. You can, for example, only touch the student's hands.
Chanting And Toning With Karuna Reiki
The Karuna Reiki experience taught me that toning or chanting during a Karuna Reiki session causes profound shifts in the healing energy's vibrational frequency. The Mahayana Buddhist tradition of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvhara, who creates the Sound that Illuminates the World, validates this notion.
The Ethics Of Distant Reiki Healing
The Second Degree procedures teach you how to transmit powerful healing to anybody, anywhere, at any time, including the past and future. Using the Distant (Connection) Symbol helps you to construct a bridge between you and the person (or animal) you wish to heal.
Guided Meditation To Help Heal The Shadow Self Can Change Your Life
The shadow self refers to the aspects of ourselves that have been repressed into the unconscious — the aspects of ourselves that we are insecure about, ashamed of, or frustrated with. The shadow self-concept is based on the idea that we metaphorically bury those aspects of our personalities that we fear will not be accepted, accepted, or loved by others; thus, we keep them in the shadows.

Integrative And Functional Medicine —Personalized Care For The 21st Century
The goal of integrative and functional medicine is to get to the root cause of health problems and treat the whole person with a combination of approaches—optimizing health for those who have it and restoring health for those who have lost it. Integrative medicine and functional medicine are often used interchangeably, but the terms are actually referring to two different approaches to patient care.
The Karuna Reiki Attunements
A common belief is that compassionate action is captured in this non-traditional form of Reiki. When used in conjunction with Usui Reiki, it has a powerful effect on its own, but even more so.
Karuna Master Symbols and Their Uses
Other healing systems incorporate the Karuna Reiki Master symbols. For instance, The International Center for Reiki Training incorporates the Usui Dai Ko Myo, Tibetan Dai Ko Mio, and Tibetan Fire Serpent into our Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Training.
Kuan Yin - The Goddess Of Mercy

The Traditional Karuna Reiki Attunements
Karuna is typically only taught to Usui Reiki Master practitioners. There are four levels of Karuna instruction. There are four levels of mastery in this system: two for practitioners and two for masters.
Original Karuna Attunements - The Sai Baba Reiki Attunements
For those wishing to view the original Sai Baba attunement process in order to compare it to later attunements, these are included for informational purposes only. You will notice a resemblance between these and the attunements developed later.
