You don’t actually need any expensive equipment in order to deliver Reiki to someone—all you need is your hands.
However, if you plan to offer Reiki treatments, you'll want to provide a comfortable surface for clients to lay on. If you can afford it, a treatment couch is your best bet. There are numerous models to choose from. Depending on where you reside, moveable couches with adjustable leg heights can cost anywhere from £150 to £350. In the UK, costs start about £150. Similar ones cost between $350 and $600 in the United States. In contrast, static couches with hydraulic lifts can weigh up to a few thousand pounds (or dollars). Secondhand therapeutic couches can be found for a lower price, but the best place to get information about the greatest sofas is in the Yellow Pages or in a health magazine.
One thing to be aware of is the prevalence of massage treatment couches, which are designed to be low enough for the therapist to bend over and apply pressure to the client. Your hands should be held at a height that is neither too high nor too low when conducting a Reiki session, which is often between the middle of your chest and your waist.
