What Do Combining Other Therapies With Reiki Means? Conclusion

The patient may benefit from several treatments in addition to Reiki. Reiki has the potential to boost a patient's current treatment plan. It is also important to recognize and appreciate the contributions of various therapies, especially the balance between medicine and Reiki and medical restrictions. Continue reading this article to learn more about Reiki associated with other therapies.

What Do Combining Other Therapies With Reiki Means?

Any "hands-on" treatment, such as aromatherapy, reflexology, shiatsu, metamorphic method, acupressure, and craniosacral therapy, as well as any others where massage or manipulation are involved, works well when combined with Reiki.

As long as the therapist has been trained in Reiki, the energy will flow from the therapist's hands during the complementary treatment session if the client needs it. The bottle or container may be held in the hands to enable Reiki to flow into the preparations, such as homeopathy, Bach flower remedies, or herbal medicines.

The Balance Between Conventional (Allopathic) Medicine And Reiki

Despite popular belief, alternative and traditional medicine may coexist together. Complementary and alternative treatments (CAMs) are becoming more popular among health care professionals. I've educated several health care professionals in Reiki. Healing and complementary treatments are currently offered by an increasing number of facilities, such as hospitals, hospices, clinics, and doctor's offices.

However, suppose you want to practice Reiki in any of these settings. In that case, you may be required to have a background in anatomy and physiology, which is unnecessary for the practice of Reiki. I'd say if you're serious about pursuing something, it's preferable to learn more and then put your skills to good use. As a therapist, you'll also be required to get public liability insurance, which is standard practice.

There are a few common rules to follow while giving Reiki to someone who is having traditional medical treatment:

  • Stopping the medication or consulting a doctor or other health care provider should never be recommended.
  • When diagnosing a person, do not attempt to figure out what is wrong with them (unless you are medically qualified).
  • If a client wishes to get Reiki treatment, it is always recommended that they check with their doctor first to make sure it is safe and refer to it as a kind of spiritual healing when discussing it with their doctor.
  • Also, if their health condition does not respond to therapy or if you fear there may be a severe underlying concern, always suggest they consult a doctor. To avoid frightening them, you must approach them very carefully and courteously since it is not your position to diagnose.

Prescribed medications may benefit from receiving Reiki treatment similarly to complementary treatments. Hold it in your hands, draw the Power Symbol over it, and quietly chant the mantra three times while wishing that Reiki will work with your prescription for the best possible outcome.

Notifiable Diseases And Medical Restrictions

If you want to perform as a health practitioner in a certain nation, you need to know all applicable laws and regulations. There is no justification for lack of knowledge of the law. When it comes to dealing with legal issues related to Reiki, your professional organization should be able to provide guidance. However, here are just a few examples:

  • If you have a venereal illness, you cannot be charged for treatment.
  • If you're not a doctor, you're not allowed to be there during a woman's birthing unless it's an absolute emergency.
  • To prescribe or sell herbal treatments or supplements such as oils, you need to be properly licensed.
  • No one may legally diagnose or prescribe unless they have medical training and certification.
  • Animals may be healed by hands-on therapy, but owners must take their ill animals to a veterinarian for a checkup, save in emergencies.
  • Advertising cures for Bright's disease, cancer, cataracts, diabetes, and epilepsy are among the ailments for which it is illegal to market treatments or remedies.
  • As a healthcare provider, you must report any of the following infectious illnesses to the Medical Officer of Health in your local region, and if you feel that any of your clients are suffering from anything on this list, you should also insist on them seeing a doctor:
  • acute encephalitis
  • acute poliomyelitis
  • anthrax, cholera
  • diphtheria
  • dysentery (amoebic or bacillary)
  • food poisoning
  • leprosy
  • leptospirosis
  • malaria
  • measles
  • meningitis
  • meningococcal septicemia (without meningitis)
  • mumps
  • opthalmia neonatorum
  • paratyphoid fever
  • plague
  • rabies
  • relapsing fever
  • rubella
  • scarlet fever
  • smallpox
  • tetanus
  • tuberculosis
  • typhoid fever
  • typhus
  • viral hemorrhagic fever
  • viral hepatitis
  • whooping cough and yellow fever.

Conclusion

The services you can provide to your customers may be enhanced if you learn another modality in addition to Reiki if that's the only one you currently use and specialize in. Many more methods may be used to aid individuals, including things like Reiki, which I believe is fantastic. The "kick-start" that someone needs to continue their healing process might sometimes come from trying a new treatment.

Guided Meditation To Help Heal The Shadow Self Can Change Your Life

The shadow self refers to the aspects of ourselves that have been repressed into the unconscious — the aspects of ourselves that we are insecure about, ashamed of, or frustrated with. Integrative And Functional Medicine —Personalized Care For The 21st Century

The goal of integrative and functional medicine is to get to the root cause of health problems and treat the whole person with a combination of approaches—optimizing health for those who have it and restoring health for those who have lost it. Integrative medicine and functional medicine are often used interchangeably, but the terms are actually referring to two different approaches to patient care.
