How To Attune Your Reiki Students To Reiki Levels 1, 2, And 3 In A Single Combined Attunement

This lesson will examine how to attune your reiki students to Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3 in a single combined attunement. We will assume that you have already completed the set-up and preparation for the attunement ceremony. The reiki student is already seated in a chair with their eyes closed and their hands in the prayer position in preparation for the attunement.
Combined Reiki 1, 2 And 3 Attunements
Step 1 (While Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
You should be about 2-3 feet away from your student. Ask your student to close their eyes and pray with their hands above their heart chakra.
Ask your student to take a deep relaxing breath while silently invoking Reiki, the universal life force. Allow your student time to finish the silent invocation. Continue when you feel they are ready.
Ask your student to notice the soothing music now (Heartbeat or Reiki Chant).
Relax, follow your directions, and enjoy the reiki attunement ceremony.
Begin the ceremony by silently invoking the words CKR CKR CKR three times over their heart chakra to activate the Reiki energy in and around their aura.
Hands cupped in front of you, thumbs touching, palms facing the student Send reiki energy into their heart chakra to prepare them for Reiki attunement. Hold this position for 10-15 seconds or until you feel ready to move on.
Now walk counterclockwise to your student's back.
Step 2 (Standing Behind The Reiki Student)
Stand 2-3 feet away from your reiki student.
Raise your hands in prayer before your heart chakra. Call on Reiki, the Universal Life Force, all Reiki Masters past, present, and future (Reiki is not bound by time or space), especially Dr. Usui, Dr. Hayashi, and Madam Takata to draw close and participate in this sacred attunement ceremony for the benefit of all (insert students name). Assist me in passing on the gift of Reiki by attuning (insert student's name) to Usui Reiki Level 1, 2, and 3. As a confident and powerful Reiki Master/Teacher, I ask that this ceremony be uplifting and inspiring (insert students' name).
When you are ready, open your eyes, move closer to your Reiki student, and place your NON-dominant hand on their shoulder.
Raise your dominant hand directly above your reiki student's crown chakra. Place your tongue behind your top front teeth and contract Hui Yin to increase Reiki flow throughout your body.
(PLEASE NOTE: This optional technique is not required and will not affect the success of the attunements. We do it because it is part of our attunement training. We know many Reiki Masters who do not use this technique. Our advice is to try it and if you like it, keep it. REMEMBER, INTENT IS KING).
Draw the DKM + HSZSN + CKR symbols in the air your student's head to activate the symbols for use during the attunement ceremony. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 3 (Standing Behind The Reiki Student)
Draw a CKR above the Students Crown Chakra to open it.
As you do so, you will be beaming/channeling the three previously drawn reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR), filling the student's head with the beautiful healing light of reiki. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Continue by beaming/channeling the three previously drawn reiki symbols (DKM+HSZSN+CKR) down into their arms, chest, core, thighs, and feet. Pretend to be filled with the beautiful healing light of reiki from the shoulders to the tips of their toes and back up to the top of their head. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 4 (Standing At The Right Hand Side Of The Reiki Student)
Open the student's throat chakra by drawing a small CKR over it.
Beam/channel the three previously drawn reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into the students throat chakra filling their throat centre with the beautiful healing light of reiki (with your right hand a few inches from the front and your left hand a few inches from the back). Remember to intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 5 (Standing At The Right Hand Side Of The Reiki Student)
Draw a small CKR over the student's Third Eye Chakra to open it.
With your right hand in front of the student's third eye chakra and your left hand behind their back, beam/channel the three previously drawn reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) into their third eye chakra. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 6 (Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
Draw a small CKR over the student's Heart Chakra to open it.
By now you should be able to see the three reiki symbols (DKM, HSZSN, and CKR) clearly. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 7 (Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
CKR over the student's hands to open Hand Chakras.
Place your hands on the student's backs and gently open them up, moving them down towards their lap, so their palms face you.
Then place them in the palm of the students' right hand. Tap the symbols into the student's right hand, silently invoking the master symbol. Rep the previous steps on the students' left hand. Remember to silently intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Once the four symbols are embedded into both palms, guide the students' hands back into the prayer position and up towards their heart chakra.
Step 8 (Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
Step back slightly and draw a small CKR over the student's Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root Chakras to open the student's remaining three energy centers.
By now you should be able to see the three reiki symbols (DKM + HSZSN + CKR) in your students Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root Chakras. Remember to intone the symbols' names three times as you draw them.
Step 9 (Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
Now move the students' hands so their fingertips are in line with their heart chakra. Inhale the Violet Breath.
Move the students' hands to align their third eye chakra. Inhale the Violet Breath.
Move the students' hands so their fingertips are in line with their brows. Inhale the Violet Breath.
Step 10 (Standing In Front Of The Reiki Student)
Take the students' hands and place them on their laps.
To ground your reiki student's energy, draw a large CKR over their front.
Hands above their crown chakra within their aura field. Begin at the Crown chakra and work your way down to their feet. Grasp the floor with both hands to complete the grounding and cut the reiki student's lineage
Finally, silently thank reiki. For participating in this attunement ceremony for "insert student name," I would like to thank Dr. Usui, Dr. Hayashi, and Madam Takata, as well as all reiki masters past, present, and future. So that "insert student's name" can move forward as a powerful and confident Reiki Master/Teacher.
"You can now come back to full awareness in your own time whenever you are ready," or "This concludes the third-degree attunement."
Ask the initiate about their feelings, visions, or experiences during the attunement. Aside from the joyous sharing between student and teacher, verbalization helps initiate what has happened and validates that "the attunement worked."
If several people are being tuned, this sharing can be done later. Encouraging students to keep their hands on their laps and close their eyes while waiting for other students to be attuned also helps.
